How to upgrade from Free to Essential or Pro
Upgrading your Emberhop account unlocks more active documents, the lead gate feature, and expanded analytics. The process is handled through the billing page in your dashboard and takes just a few steps. Payment is processed by Mollie, an EU-based payment provider.
Upgrading in four steps
Sign in to your Emberhop dashboard. In the left sidebar, click "Settings" and then "Billing". This page shows your current plan and the available upgrade options.
Click "Upgrade" next to Essential (19 EUR/month) or Pro (49 EUR/month). If you are upgrading to start with the 7-day free trial, the button will say "Start free trial" instead of a direct charge prompt.
You will be redirected to Mollie's secure checkout page. Mollie accepts credit and debit cards, iDEAL, SEPA Direct Debit, and several other EU-local payment methods. Enter your payment details and confirm the payment. Your card is not charged until the free trial ends (if you chose the trial option).
After completing the payment flow, you are returned to your Emberhop dashboard. Your plan will have updated immediately. You will see the new plan status on the billing page, and any features that were previously locked (like the lead gate) will now be available.
What changes immediately after upgrading
As soon as your upgrade is confirmed, the following things change on your account:
- Your document limit increases to the new plan's limit (15 for Essential, unlimited for Pro).
- The lead gate option becomes available in document settings.
- Any team seat limits increase per the new plan.
- Your billing page shows the new plan name and next billing date.
There is no need to re-upload documents, copy new embed codes, or make any changes to your website. The upgrade is seamless. Any embeds that are already live on your site will continue to work and will now track leads if you enable the lead gate on those documents.
If you started a free trial and did not add a payment method, your account will automatically return to the Free plan when the trial expires. You will not be charged. To continue on a paid plan, go back to the billing page and add a payment method before the trial ends.
