Managing team members and roles in Emberhop
Emberhop lets you bring multiple people into the same organization so they can all access the same documents, leads, and analytics. Each team member is assigned a role that controls what they can see and do. This article explains how roles work and how to manage your team.
The three role levels
- Owner: Full access to everything. The Owner can manage billing, delete documents, remove team members, and change organization settings. There is one Owner per organization. Ownership can be transferred to another member if needed.
- Admin: Can upload, configure, and delete documents. Can view and export leads. Can access all analytics. Cannot manage billing or remove the Owner from the organization.
- Member: Read-only access to analytics and leads. Cannot upload documents, change settings, or access the billing page. Useful for stakeholders who need to see performance data but should not make changes.
Seat limits per plan
- Free: 1 seat (solo use only)
- Essential: Up to 5 seats
- Pro: Up to 10 seats
- Business: 10 seats included, with the option to contact support for additional seats
How to invite a team member
Invited team members are added to your organization only. They do not gain access to other organizations they may belong to. Each Emberhop user can be a member of multiple organizations with different roles in each.
Removing a team member
To remove someone from your organization, go to Settings, Team. Find the member in the list and click the "Remove" button next to their name. Their access is revoked immediately. They are not notified by email when they are removed, but they will see a "No access" message if they try to log in to your organization.
Removing a member does not delete their Emberhop account. It only removes their access to your organization. If they need access again in the future, you can re-invite them.
Changing a member's role
To change a team member's role, go to Settings, Team, and click the role dropdown next to their name. Select the new role from the list. The change takes effect immediately without any notification to the member.
